I wish I had some of my Mom's talent! |

On the same note, we also had some furnishing needs that we'd been put off, like lamps, bookcases, etc. The Hubs
This looks way better than the pieces scattered around my living room |

After years of racking up airline miles, and months of debating and watching prices, we finally made some travel plans! We're going to visit the Hub's family for Thanksgiving! They live on the other side of the country, so its hard for us to get the time and money to visit, and they have difficulty traveling, so I haven't seen them in two years (I know, I'm an awful daughter-in-law). Luckily, everything fell together this time, and we'll be able to stay a whole week with them! According to the Hubs, there might even be snow, which I'm excited about as I've only seen snow fall twice in my life! It would be awesome if I finally get to make my first snowman!
I totally do |

I don't know if this counts as a happy, but my ovarian wedge resection has been scheduled. Its a huge relief that the surgery has been scheduled for this year. If it hadn't been, I wouldn't have been able to afford it, so I was . My doctors staff had said things were busy, and weren't ready to schedule at my last appointment, so I was
That's all I've got for now! See you next time.
I didn't know there was an ikea effect with couples! That's so funny because JJ and I have so much fun there just wondering around, getting lost and he always has to keep me on track or I will look at stuff we didn't go in there for.
ReplyDeleteHaha, I think our problems there before stemmed from the fact that we were trying to figure out how to furnish/decorate our home and we realized that we have very different styles. Its more fun now that we're past that. We're totally like you guys too, I want to wander and look at everything and the Hubs has to keep me focused.
DeleteYour mom's painting is gorgeous! I wish I had that talent too! Love that piece you bought from Ikea. I've had bad experiences in that store too. I went shopping there with my husband (but he was my boyfriend at the time and we had only been dating a few months) and his mother and it was terrible!! I love their stuff, love their prices even more, but I think that one experience (that lasted 2+ hours) may have ruined Ikea for me forever. Haha. Thanksgiving is going to be so fun! Glad you were able to use those miles and plan a visit with the in-laws. A snowman would be fun, but only if you can leave the snow behind when you're done. It's too cold for me to ever want it to stick around. Ha! And yay for scheduled surgery! Please let us all know as it gets closer so we can send up lots of prayers!
ReplyDeleteHaha, I'm glad to know I'm not the only one with the Ikea experiences! I'm also glad for the visit but wouldn't want to stick around in the cold. 50 degrees is too cold of a winter for me, let alone freezing. I'm sure I'll be talking about the surgery as it gets closer. Thanks again for stopping by!
